Pyrgadikia is a resort village 115 km away from Thessaloniki. It belongs to the Sithonia leg but its actual location is in the bay between Sithonia and Mount Athos. It is built on the slopes of a hill and overlooks the sea, Mount Athos and Sithonia. Its permanent inhabitants are about 600. The hotels are small and family run. There are several tavernas, shops and cafes.

Pyrgadikia has no own beach, just a small harbor, but a few kilometers east and west of the village you will find the sandy beaches Kampos and Gialaki. Kampos is larger and better known, with several restaurants. Other famous beaches nearby are Kortiri and Salonikou but there are also other smaller and more secluded beaches.
