All places and beaches on Chalkidiki have bus service to Thessaloniki. Buses running to the busiest destinations depart several times a day, and there are also seasonal bus lines. Bus station to Thessaloniki is not located on the main station in Thessaloniki, but on Thessaloniki eastern outskirts, so the best way is to take a taxi to airport. First bus to Kassandra departs at 5:40 and the last one at 21:00. The ride lasts around 90 minutes.
Most places on Sithonia and Athos are connected with bus lines, but the travelers are advised to plan their trip carefully, as buses operate only twice per day during off-season, whereas in summer departures are much more frequent. Poligiros is very well connected with other destinations.

There is a big taxi station at the Thessaloniki airport so without much trouble you can reach any destination on Chalikidiki. Depending on distance and size of your luggage, it is advisable to arrange the price with a taxi driver in advance. However, expect that the ride from the airport will cost you at least 50 €.
