Local traffic in Chalkidiki

All places and beaches on Chalkidiki have bus service to Thessaloniki. Buses running to the busiest destinations depart several times a day, and there are also seasonal bus lines. Bus station to Thessaloniki is not located on the main station in Thessaloniki, but on Thessaloniki eastern outskirts, so the best way is to take a taxi to airport. Most places on Sithonia and Athos are connected with bus lines, but the travelers are advised to plan their trip carefully, as buses operate only twice per day during off-season, whereas in summer departures are much more frequent. Poligiros is very well connected with other destinations.
