Nikiti is one of the oldest places on Chalkidiki. It is located to the north of Sithonia, about 110 km southeast of Thessaloniki, between Metamorphosis and Neos Marmaras. Main road divides the place into two parts: the old one, which is 2 km from the shore and New Nikiti, where hotels and cafes are located. It features long pedestrian zone with many restaurants, taverns, cafes and amusement facilities for children. 20% of the total amount of Greek honey is produced here, and there are also many shops where you can choose honey according to your taste. Each year in July, 26 km long swimming marathon through Thoroneos bay is organized-, it starts on the Kassandra peninsula and ends near Nikiti.
Nikiti beach: Nikiti has 30 km of coast, beautiful beaches and crystal clear sea of Thoroneos bay. It boasts of a big, beautiful and sandy beach, with lots of restaurants and cafes stretching along it. Nikiti beaches are long and covered with white fine sand. The more to the south, the more secluded beaches become, which may suit those who like pure relaxation.
Nikiti is a very lively and typical Greek place, with many tourists. Take a walk through the old town, sit for a while at the old square and enjoy your coffee in old taverns.
