Porto Koufo

It is around 145 km away from Thessaloniki, 4 km from Toroni, with the population of around 100 residents. It comprises of several houses and tourist facilities, supermarkets and a couple of restaurants. The most southern point of Sithonia is close, that is, a cape connected with the land and surrounded by two beaches: an eastern beach which has a fantastic view of the open sea and a western beach with a view of the first finger of Chalkidiki – Kassandra. “Tuna-fishing” festival takes place every year in September.

Porto Koufo beach:  The beach is both sandy and pebbly, with the gradual entry into the sea. In the vicinity of the small village and beach you will find the quiet and sandy beach of Tristinika, only a couple of minutes away from Porto Koufo. This is bay, so the sea is calm.

Porto Koufo is definitely for people who look forward to holiday without many attractions, but with conditions for good rest and peace. Early in the morning, you can see local fishermen coming back to the harbor with their catch. In the evening you can enjoy and taste fresh seafood.
