Ammouliani is the only inhabited island in Halkidiki, about 4.5 km² in size, reached by a roughly 15-minute ferry ride from Tripiti. The island has around 600 inhabitants, fish tavernas, supermarkets and sandy beaches with shallow, crystal-clear water, the best known being Alykes. There is no nightlife and no crowds, making it the right place for families and couples who want a peaceful holiday with a view of Mount Athos.
