Sykia is one of the oldest villages in Halkidiki, in the south-east of Sithonia, about 150 km from Thessaloniki. The village itself sits on a hill about 3 km from the sea, while newer accommodation lies along the long Sykia beach and nearby coves. Some of Sithonia's most beautiful beaches are close by, including Klimataria, Linaraki, Tourkolimnionas and Tigania, and Sykia is also known as the peninsula's camping hub. Prices are a little lower than in the bigger resorts, making it a good choice for a quiet family holiday.
