Destination
Kassandra is the first and most developed leg of Halkidiki, and the closest to Thessaloniki. It is known for long sandy beaches, turquoise sea and the liveliest nightlife on the peninsula, especially in Kallithea, Hanioti and Pefkochori. The east coast, facing the Toroneos Gulf, is lined with busy resorts, while the west side, with places like Siviri, Fourka and Nea Skioni, offers quieter beaches and sunsets. Most towns are an hour to an hour and a half's drive from Thessaloniki.
