Nea Moudania is the largest town in this part of Halkidiki and the gateway to Kassandra and Sithonia, about 60 km from Thessaloniki. It has banks, a health centre, large supermarkets and a market on Wednesdays. It is known for its sandy beaches, clean sea and relaxed atmosphere. The town has a seafront promenade with plenty of cafés and restaurants and is especially known for its fishing tradition and fresh seafood. Ideal for a quiet seaside holiday and as a base for exploring the whole of Halkidiki.
