Pefkochori is a large, lively resort on the east coast of Kassandra, about 100 km from Thessaloniki, surrounded by the pine forest that gave it its name. It has a long beach, a promenade with tavernas and bars, and some of the best-known nightlife on the peninsula. Several popular beach bars are nearby, as is the Glarokavos lagoon. A good choice for young people and families alike.
