Polychrono is a popular family resort on the east coast of Kassandra, about 95 km from Thessaloniki. It has a long sandy beach, a promenade with cafés, tavernas and shops, and a lively summer atmosphere that is calmer than in neighbouring Hanioti. Local agencies run excursions and cruises around the Toroneos Gulf, and Hanioti and Pefkochori are a few minutes' drive away. A good mix of beach, amenities and moderate nightlife.
