Halkidiki is primarily the choice of those who want a quieter family vacation or to spend their vacation as a couple, but if you still want to have fun, Halkidiki offers quite decent options for entertainment. When you arrive at a certain destination, it is best to ask which bars and taverns are popular places to hang out, as well as which beaches have a good beach bar with good music. Another tip is to follow the posters on poles around the city (or even the highway) that announce special events such as guest appearances by different DJs or live musicians. However, we have to be honest and admit that these events are quite rare even during the summer (once every two weeks), so don't expect to have a crazy time every night of your vacation in Halkidiki with the latest music hits and unforgettable entertainment. Of course, the center of nightlife in Halkidiki is definitely on Kassandra, the first finger of Halkidiki where there are the largest number of discotheques, lounge bars, taverns on the seashore and even beach bars that organize parties. Of the places that offer the best entertainment, the most famous are certainly Kallithea, Hanioti, and Pefkohori. Since there are a lot of local tourists here, you will come across many places that play our music, so this is not a bad choice if you like this kind of entertainment. The second finger of the Sithonia peninsula offers more of a selection of good lounge cafes and bars, and the most popular places for entertainment are certainly Neos Maramaras and Nikiti, as well as Sarti with nice cafeterias and bars. In Sithonia, on the other hand, you will rarely find local music playing anywhere because this is not such a popular destination for local tourists going out at night, and if you do go out at night, you will mostly be greeted by Greek and foreign hits. As for Athos, you will hardly come across any form of night entertainment on the third finger apart from the occasional taverna. It is certain that there is always fun for those who want to go out, so we have singled out a few places that can be a good choice if you want to have a good time.
CASSANDRA
As for beach bars, Anemos beach bar in Sani is a place reserved for water sports and coffee during the day, and in the evening you can drink cocktails and enjoy live music. Navagos beach bar (Paliouri), a great beach bar that organizes parties on weekends, is also popular there. Of course, we must also mention the Almyra and Papua beach bars on the popular beach in Kallithea, where parties are organized and DJs are guests. Speaking of Kalitea, here we single out a couple of places such as Spitaki, one of the most popular places to go out, and then Angels, which captivates its guests with its all-white, summer decor. We must certainly mention Ahoy, which is one of the most popular summer nightclubs and has been operating since 1990 and only opens late in the evening. In Hanioti, we can single out Afros bar, a place to relax on the central square in Hanioti, or Mystique, which is exclusively for night outs because this cocktail bar is only open from 7 in the evening. As for Pefkohori, we can mention Bombo and Sushi, where music is played until the late hours, but definitely the most popular place is Kahlua, which has been the center of night events for 30 years. In Polichron, we can single out Cafe Cafe, but know that this is primarily a daytime bar with delicious treats. Among the other beach bars, it is worth mentioning the Yach Cafe-Bar (Nea Kalikratia), which is actually an all-day bar on the beach.
SITONIA
Of the beach bars in Sithonia, Manassu beach bar is certainly the most popular choice for those who want some kind of beach party, as well as the famous Talgo beach. By all means, take the term beach party as a very broad term, because as we said, Halkidiki is primarily a family place. You can also find a good atmosphere at the Bahia beach bar. A bit more alternative is the Goa beach bar, which is well hidden and where parties used to be held regularly, but now night parties are held only from time to time. As we said, Neos Marmaras is the place with the most choice for night out and it is the most famous night spot on the entire Molos peninsula, where people from Thessaloniki descend on weekends to be seen and have a good time. Molos is popular not only for its atmosphere reminiscent of the Cycladic Islands with a beautiful terrace overlooking the Aegean Sea, but also for its crazy night parties. It is interesting that few of our tourists even know about this place and here you will mostly meet Greeks. Among the places for going out in Neos Marmaras, we must also mention Ploton, which is located on the main Šatačka street, just below Molos. This is a place for a slightly younger audience (up to 25 years old), but which also features a great interior, with a large terrace that literally floats on the water. As for Nikiti, Vertigo is a popular beach bar that has been successfully operating for the past 15 years and has successfully maintained its mainstream character. There is also To Spitaki, a coffee bar primarily known for its homemade ice cream, as well as Barcarolla, a unique wine bar in the center of Nikiti that is almost exclusively built of stone and wood. As for Sarti, in the very heart of the place there is Pepenoaki Karopouzaki (translated as Melon and Watermelon) where the name itself reveals that this is a colorfully decorated cafe that is an ideal chill out zone for every day. As an alternative to the hectic nightlife of Halkidiki, what you can always do is spend a quieter evening with a nice, romantic dinner in the many tavernas of Halkidiki that are mostly open until midnight.
