When **Sithonia is mentioned,**the first association is certainly beautiful beaches and the turquoise color of the sea. It belongs to the most popular destinations for tourists from the region, and that is why it is always good to book accommodation in time, and to get informed about the offer of accommodation, places and beaches in a timely manner. Sithonia is a destination for both families and young people, and mostly for those who want to enjoy the beautiful beaches for which it is famous. The question of which is your favorite beach is always difficult to answer, because the choice is really big, and it depends on the taste, as well as the possibility of visiting them. That's why it's very difficult to visit everything in one season, which is why tourists usually come back and get to know and discover this part of Greece again. Since the text about the beaches of Sithonia would be long, we divided the story into the Eastern and Western parts. The eastern part includes the beaches from Ormos Panagias to Kalamitsi. Trani Ammouda One of the most beautiful beaches in Sithonia where turquoise and crystal clear sea awaits you, fine and pleasant sand, with more than enough space to place your umbrella and towels. But there is also a part of the beach where you can get sunbeds and umbrellas with a drink from the bar. It is almost 2 km long and you can park your car along its entire length. There is no natural shade, but it offers a view of the magnificent Athos. As for accommodation in this part of Sithonia, it "sells out" very quickly, especially for the months of July and August.

Talgo beach Talgo beach is located 3.5 km south of Ormos Panagias (towards Vourvourou). It is well marked so you cannot miss it. A beautiful sandy beach with rocks on both sides, with crystal clear water and a length of about 150 meters, which makes it an ideal choice for relaxing and swimming. The beach bar is characterized by a unique, refined ambience with elegant details and high quality service. Most of the beach is available to the beach bar, in front of which there are many sunbeds and umbrellas. For the first two rows of sunbeds by the sea, the minimum consumption is 10€ per person, and for the others 5€. If you are a guest of the bar and use their deckchairs, it is forbidden to bring anything from drinks, food and even water with you, because the beach bar offers all this at slightly higher prices than the other, less popular, bars in Sithonia. Talgo beach bar is popular among young people because of organized parties and music that can often be too loud for those who like peace on the beach. It is often necessary to reserve sunbeds and umbrellas in advance, and the biggest crowd is created during the weekend when we do not recommend you to visit this beach. To the right of the bar there is also a section that is available to all those who have their own equipment, but that section is much smaller. As for the beach, the sand is out, a few meters into the water, then a rocky part comes across, then sand again. In several places, paths were made of bags filled with sand in the water to make it easier for guests to cross that rocky part. The beach is in a bay, protected by rocks on the side, so the shallow water is mostly calm and without wind or waves. Lagonisi beach Lagonisi beach is located a few kilometers south of Ormos Panagias. This is a sandy beach with natural shade in the hinterland, with a view of a small island, distinctly turquoise color of the sea and shallows, but without facilities. The distinguishing feature of this beach is a mini sandbank that separates the beach into two parts. This beach is very frequented by families with small children, especially during the weekend, so expect more crowds then. Livari As you depart from the direction of Ormos Panagias towards the town of Vourvourou, you will first encounter the Livari lagoon, which is surrounded by a series of smaller and larger islands, so this place is considered a natural and safe harbor. With the change of tides, the whole part turns into a lake, and sandbars become at low tide. We recommend that you bring personal belongings as well as food, because the beach is not organized for tourism and there are no sunbeds or umbrellas. Our recommendation is that tourists who are not demanding and who want to enjoy the wonderful nature and peace go to this beach. Karidi beach The beach and shallow sea are very suitable for children, and the water is almost always calm and warm. A big advantage is that there is a part of the beach with natural shade as well as a mobile canteen where you can buy sandwiches, drinks, ice cream. It is very crowded during the summer season, so if you want to avoid the crowds, you can come late in the afternoon or early in the morning. Fava beach Here is a beach that is not commercialized, not organized, but very beautiful and special because of the rocks that surround it. From the turn for Karidi beach, continue straight and drive until you come across a settlement in a pine forest with large family villas. Since there are no signs to this beach, drive by feel towards the sea and you will come across a parking lot. The village of Fava itself is a weekend village where there are beautiful villas of rich Greeks, where they get away from the crowds and enjoy the beauty of the sea and nature. You can even see Mount Athos from there. The beach is not organized, there are no sunbeds, umbrellas or bars, so you need to bring your equipment, as well as food and water. Bahia beach With from the main road, a dirt and winding road takes about 2 km to reach a sandy beach with a modern beach bar. The beach is small and completely covered with sunbeds and umbrellas, so there is little space for your own equipment. Sunbeds and umbrellas are thickly arranged, and there are also comfortable canopies and sofas to enjoy. Bahia has a greenish shade of water due to vegetation, unlike other beaches in Sithonia. In the afternoon, there is plenty of natural shade, and it is also adorned with very small coves in the immediate vicinity, which can be easily reached by swimming. Banana beach Banana beach is about 200 meters long sandy beach with fine sand and blue-green color of the sea. This beautiful beach is 10 kilometers away from Vourvourou. The exit to Banana beach is about 1 kilometer after Zografou beach and is marked with the sign "Rodia beach bar". The dirt road to the beach is a little worse, with a lot of dust and potholes. It got its name from the beach bar located there, where sunbeds and umbrellas can be rented. It is visited mostly by young people, and the music from the bar can be quite loud. The entire back of the beach is covered in deep shade where there are comfortable seating, lazy bags, a nice lawn where you can put your towels and mats for lounging. A great place to enjoy that you should definitely visit! Manassu – Oneirou Beach The beach is located 12 km south of Vourvourou and is well marked so you will easily spot the sign board. On the right side of the beach is the Oneirou camp, and on the left is the Manassu Beach bar. The beach is very wide and, in addition to numerous umbrellas, there is also a small playground with toys for children, a boutique and showers, and in the background there is a bar, restaurant, mini market and toilets. The music is relaxing and pleasant, and everything is in white. The prices are a bit higher, but the service is really great. We often say "all in one"! A really nice and pleasant place, especially for those who like modern urban beach bars, in a word, real hedonists! Armenistis beach A large sandy beach with all possible amenities. There is also the most famous camp on Halkidiki - Armenistis Camping & Bungalows. Inside the camp you can use all facilities: restaurant, beach bar, showers, toilets, shop and medical assistance. The beach has crystal clear sea, lawns and trees, all combined with modern facilities. It is long, wide, landscaped, with fine white sand and the turquoise color of the sea. During the day it is inhabited by campers, and at night parties, musical evenings and concerts are held here. Mega Portokali It is located 7km from Sarti, some 700m after Orange beach. The beach is not big and it can get crowded, so you need to get there early, as is the case with most of Sithonia. The water is shallow, endlessly turquoise with fine sand. The beach does not have facilities such as umbrellas, sunbeds, beach bar, but that's why the environment is beautiful and all with a view of the magnificent Athos. There is a canteen nearby that sells fast food (souvlaki, burgers, hot dogs). Orange beach – Kavourotripes The most popular beach in Sithonia, beautiful, sandy both on the shore and in the water, beach bar on the beach itself. About 8 km north of Sarti there is a group of small beaches, covering a length of more than 5 km. This landscape relief of incredible beauty looks like an exhibition of open-air sculptures which, together with the incredible turquoise sea and the view of Mount Athos, come as a reward for any visitor who took the trouble to find these beaches. Otherwise, the color of the sand and the color of the water really leave you breathless, so if you visit the beach at the right time, it will surely remain in your best possible memory. Platanitsi beach Platanitsi Beach is located 4km north of Sartija, has a blue "Blue Flag" and is located in the green zone in the pine forest, south of Orange Beach and north of Sartija. It is well marked and from the highway you will easily see the sign where you need to turn. If you stay on the beach for more than two hours during the season, you need to pay an entrance fee of €1.50 per person. The sandy beach is really exceptional, white sand, turquoise towards the open sea, everything is beautiful, clean, tidy. There is also the famous Africa beach bar in deep shade, decorated with fine taste and comfortable sofas for lounging. The bar is open from the beginning of May to the first days of September and offers moments of rest and relaxation. Agridia beach The first beach after Sarti towards Sikia, about 3 km from Sarti. From the main road, you have to drive about 1.5 km on a dirt road. The beach is small and secluded, so it is partially protected from the wind. It is not very popular and few people know about it, so it is not too crowded. Around the beach there are flat rocks ideal for jumping. It is organized with deckchairs and umbrellas that are provided with drinks, and there is a canteen on the beach where you can order food at reasonable prices. Griavas beach Griavas beach is a medium-sized beach north of Sikia beach. This beach is not organized at all. There are some apartments and a camp right behind the beach. Griavas Beach consists of fine sand and has several small hidden sand wells where you can find some privacy. The water is shallow and the bottom of the sea is mostly sand. It is a beautiful sandy beach, unorganized and uncrowded, popular among campers. In addition to the large central bay, there are also several smaller ones that are ideal for anyone who wants a little more privacy. Valti beach It is located north of the large Sikia beach, just after Griavas beach. The beach is sandy and about 500m long. It is protected from the wind and offers a calm sea and enjoyment without crowds. In one part of the beach there is a beach bar with sunbeds, but the largest space on the beach is available to visitors with their equipment. It is generally not crowded. The water is extremely clean and shallow. Linaraki beach Linaraki beach is a small beach south of Sikia beach. It is a nicely decorated beach, narrow and sandy with a restaurant in the back. The beach is somewhat narrower and usually uncrowded, and is ideal for families with children. The sea is very clean. There are umbrellas and sunbeds on the beach, which are provided with the ordered drink. The beach is made of fine sand, and the shallow water also has a sandy sea, which is perfect for children to play. The advantage of this beach is a restaurant that has reasonable prices, wireless internet, a toilet and sunbeds for its guests. Tourkolimnionas beach It is located south of the town of Sikia, after Linaraki and Limanaki beaches. Tourkolimnionas beach is small, but very nice with boats gently floating in a small bay. On the beach there is a tavern with delicious fish specialties and decent prices, with deck chairs and umbrellas. The beach is very calm, and the sea is crystal clear and transparent. In addition to the organized part of the beach, there is also plenty of space if you want to place your towel and umbrella. The color of the water is crystal clear and transparent, the bottom is sandy, it is shallow and ideal for children. Klimataria beach Just before Tourkolimnionas beach you have a road that branches off to the right and leads uphill to Klimataria beach. Here you will pass one of the most exciting roads in Sithonia because you drive high above the sea on a relatively narrow road, so drive slowly and carefully. After 1.5 km you will already be able to see the beach from above and many will certainly stop here to take a few photos as a souvenir because the view of the bay where the beach is located is really beautiful. The water is turquoise and crystal clear, the sand is fine and there are plenty of shallows for children. The rocks around the beach are smooth and beautiful. A smaller part of the beach is available to visitors with their own equipment. Sunbeds are provided with the ordered drink or food in the restaurant. Right next to the beach there are 2-3 restaurants and enough space for parking. Tigania beach Tigania beach is located in the south of Sithonia, halfway between Sikia and Kalamitsi. The road to the beach is relatively well marked, so it shouldn't be difficult to find. And the road to Tiagnia beach is written on the asphalt. The road is partly concrete, partly dirt and should be driven carefully and slowly due to damage. There is a parking lot near the beach, from where you need to walk a few more minutes to the beach. Tigania consists of three smaller coves that are rarely visited, so you can enjoy peace on these beaches. If you have the opportunity, be sure to visit this beach, without exaggeration, like from the postcards of the world's most beautiful beaches!
